According to a notice sent to the Office of the Main Attorney General, more than 200,000 Comcast customers have been affected by a data breach at Financial Business and Consumer Solutions (FBCS). FBCS is a debt collection agency contacted by various companies to collect on unpaid debts.

A recent court filing by Comcast is claiming that over 230,000 customers' personal data was affected by a data breach of a third-party debt collector that serves on behalf of Comcast. The filing, spotted by Engadget, revealed that 237,703 customers were hit by the hack.

Nearly 240,000 Comcast customers had their personal information exposed in a data breach earlier this year, including social security numbers and addresses.

CF Medical, a medical debt-purchasing company that goes by the trade name Capio, has confirmed it was among the organizations that saw customer health information stolen as a result of the FBCS breach. In September, CF Medical said more than 620,000 individuals had personal and health information stolen.
