Florida football's sophomore quarterback DJ Lagway was named to the Walter Camp Award preseason watch list ahead of the 2025 campaign.

So long as the latest ailment remains a relatively minor issue, Lagway should be back on the field well in advance of Florida's Week 1 game against Long Island. The Gators may go as Lagway goes this fall; a healthy version could make them a darkhorse contender to reach the SEC Championship Game.

Florida Gators quarterback DJ Lagway has been synonymous with injuries during his time in Gainesville. That has continued heading into fall camp, as Lagway is dealing with a calf injury. This comes after Lagway didn't throw at all during spring practice due to shoulder and hernia issues.
