German Marquez tossed seven efficient innings Sunday and Hunter Goodman knocked in five runs as the Colorado Rockies snapped an eight-game losing streak with a 9-3 win over the visiting San Diego Padres in Denver.

Despite a 9 - 3 victory over the San Diego Padres, the Colorado Rockies proceeded with the firing of manager Bud Black. The decision followed a devastating 21 - 0 loss in the previous game.
