WJW-TV Cleveland on MSNCleveland Cavaliers on brink of elimination as injuries pile upThe Cleveland Cavaliers, who brought fans much joy (and hope) as the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference with a 64-18 regular-season record, are on the brink of elimination after being blown out 129-109 at Indiana to fall behind in Round 2 3-1.
"They all touched the ball," Cavaliers coach Kenny Atkinson told reporters after practice Thursday. "They all got some reps up. But we didn't do anything live. They kind of participated in the walkthrough. Hoping for the best."
The Cleveland Cavaliers were dealt some tremendous news ahead of Tuesday's Game 5 matchup against the Indiana Pacers. This comes in the form of Donovan Mitchell overcoming the ankle injury that forced him to exit their Game 4 loss on Sunday, allowing him to suit up for Tuesday's do-or-die clash.
The Pacers are up 3-1 in the series and they’re looking to complete the upset on the road. Indiana has found success as the road team, having taken the first two games in Cleveland, but struggled in their first home matchup in Game 3 before finding their footing and cruising to victory in Game 4, 129-109.
